Kodiak Deer Hunts

This  hunt originates at our Ugak Bay Lodge. You will be flown in by float-plane but transportation to the hunting areas around the bay is by boat. Sometimes hunts are even conducted right from the lodge. It is usual to assign one guide to two hunters, but if you need a one guide - one hunter hunt, the rate is $3,750. We start these hunts around the fifth of November to coincide with the beginning of the rut. The bucks are out looking for does and are not very wary. This country of long hillsides and ridges with pretty fair visibility provides good shot opportunity. In the evening, hunters can treat themselves to a hot shower and a steaming hot meal of seafood fresh from the bay, or possibly a portion of the day's kill. After dinner, sit in the comfort of a modern five-bedroom lodge and enjoy a life time of hunting stories with a Master Guide.
