GIANT MOOSE IN KAMCHATKA

FROM ONE HUNT YOU CAN BRING THREE UNIQUE TROPHIES: GIANT MOOSE (60 – 75“), BROWN BEAR (8-10 ft) – AN AVERAGE INHABITANT OF KAMCHATKA, AND BEAUTIFUL KAMCHATKA REIN DEER (CARIBOU).

The largest moose in the world inhabits Kamchatka peninsula. The average weight of trophy moose horns varies from 30 to 40 kilos (75 – 100 pounds), their average length is 130-175 cm (51-69 in.). Hunt is done during the mating season on horseback, stalking and driving, from boats. You have to be prepared for 250 – 300-yard distance shot. The best dates are from September, 20 to October, 10 in the rutting period. At the end of November it is possible to hunt with snowmobile. The air temperature during the hunting season:

September          +10 - +20° C (+50 - +70 F)

October              -5 - +10° C (+25 - +50 F)

November          -20 - -10° C (-5 - +15 F)

You will need warm, waterproof clothes and boots.

In the perfectly equipped, comfortable camp with big warm, heated tents there are EXPERIENCED GUIDES, helpers. Separate tents set for dining room and kitchen, guides and helpers. Our English-speaking interpreter will see you from/to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky international airport.

After the hunt you can enjoy excellent fishing for different species of Kamchatka salmon, swim in natural hot springs, see famous Kamchatka Volcanoes from helicopter, try traditional Russian cuisine with RED CAVIAR, KAMCHATKA CRABS and KAMCHATKA SALMON.

You may want to stay for 1-2 days in Petropavlovsk to see local places of interest: (NATIONAL PARKS, THE VALLEY OF GEYZERS, PACIFIC COAST, PETROPAVLOVSK HARBOUR).  Fly via Moscow you will have opportunity to make city tours and visit a lot of interesting places (THE KREMLIN, THE RED SQUARE, THE DIAMOND FUND).

-     airport service in international and domestic airports of Moscow and Kamchatka;

Basic tour price for non-hunter: $6.300

Group: 4-6 hunters (2 – 4 in one camp).

Hunting season:    September, 1 – December, 10. Rut: September, 20 – October, 10. November, 25 – December, 15 – on snowmobiles.

Hunting area:  Milkovo, Ust-Kamchatsk and other regions of Kamchatka.

Tour duration:    9 days (Petropavlovsk / Petropavlovsk), 7 hunting days.

14 days (Petropavlovsk/Petropavlovsk) , 12 hunting days on combination Bear & Moose hunt.

Transfer: Flight from Europe to Moscow, then 9-hr non-stop flight from Moscow to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, then 6-9 hr by car and 6-7 hr by ATV or eventually 20-40 min by helicopter.

Accommodation:  In Moscow and Petropavlovsk – in hotels, in double rooms with all facilities, in  the hunting camp – in big warm tents with stoves, 2-3 hunters in one tent. Kitchen and dining room are in separate tents. Guides and helpers live in separate tents.

HUNT ITINERARY:

1 day          - arrival in Petropavlovsk from Moscow, transfer to the camp;

2-8 days      - hunt for Moose (+7days forbear);

9 day          - transfer to Petropavlovsk, night in   hotel;

10 day        - flight from Petropavlovsk to Moscow, night in hotel (in Moscow), documents preparation for trophy import
